Cycling
Cycling to UC Davis Health takes place on city streets and designated bike lanes within Sacramento. Employees typically bike to the UC Davis Health campus from nearby neighborhoods or as part of a mixed commute.
Bicycle registration and parking
Bike parking is available across UC Davis Health, with bike racks and secured shelters near key buildings and in sheltered parking structures. Some secure bike parking areas may require badge or key access.
Bicycles and scooters used on campus should be registered through the Bike Index program. Once registered, cyclists are automatically also enrolled in the Green Commuter Program, which encourages sustainable transportation.
Green Commuter Program participants may be eligible for benefits including courtesy parking days, Guaranteed Ride vouchers for emergencies and other programs that support sustainable commuting.

Sacramento Regional Transit District provides bus and light rail service to the medical center and surrounding areas, including direct light rail access to the UC Davis Health campus.
Because the medical center is located within a dense urban area, many employees combine transit with walking, biking, or driving depending on where they live and their work schedules.

Driving to UC Davis Health
Many faculty and staff drive to UC Davis Health. Major routes to campus include Highway 50, Interstate 80 and central Sacramento surface streets. Travel times can vary significantly depending on traffic, time of day and shift schedules, so allow additional time during peak commuting periods.
Parking at UC Davis Health
Parking is available in garages and outdoor lots across the UC Davis Health campus. Employees may purchase daily parking through the ParkMobile app or monthly permits through Parking and Transportation Services.
Employees and students who travel between the Davis campus and UC Davis Health on the same day may be eligible for a Dual Campus daily permit through AggiePark (AMP), which provides parking access at both locations.

UC Davis Health operates a free on-campus shuttle that connects parking areas, hospital buildings and other destinations across the medical center campus. The shuttle is available to faculty, staff, students, patients, visitors and other UC affiliates and can make it easier to travel around campus after you arrive.
Causeway Connection
The Causeway Connection is an intercampus bus service that connects the UC Davis campus in Davis with UC Davis Health in Sacramento. The service is available at no cost to UC Davis students, faculty and staff who travel between the two campuses.
